I have done more reading, and fact hunting, and attempting to understand “lawyer talk” in the past couple of months than in all of my life prior combined. I have been digging through articles, and legislation, and news, and comments about cruise ship safety trying to understand what is being done to increase it, and who is doing what to stop it.
Finally I have heard a voice of sorts. I don’t know if it is my brother Jason trying to direct me, or if it is simply the fact that I see the most holes being plugged with this one aspect, but I have this nagging feeling that third-party security is what I need to focus on.
I have spoken with Kendall Carver, who is currently in Australia fighting for this as well as many other improvements, and we are going to further discuss what I need to do when he gets home. A few of the things I would like to do are , start a petition to raise awareness, and support for this type of legislation. Speak with as many members of Congress, and the Senate, as possible in an attempt to garner their support, and tell my brothers story, along with the story of many others, in order to shine a light on the things third-party security could have done to bring peace and closure to the families, as well as helping to lower the numbers of crimes that are happening.
Please feel free to comment with your opinions. Do you think third-party security would be helpful?

Perhaps it is time to get a law degree? Why not?
